My Story
Hi! I’m Nicole, and I am the founder of 5STR Digital. My mission is to help other short term rental owners and support businesses take control of their marketing and online presence through quality, affordable website design.
My husband and I bought our first short term rental property, a condo on the NC coast, almost 15 years ago. Ours was one of the first properties in that area to utilize self management rather than a large management company. It has been wildly successful, with an average occupancy rate of over 90% through the years! In 2021 we purchased a second property in the NC mountains, and we are currently renovating a third mountain property.
I have worked in the marketing field for more than 20 years, with the last few years concentrating in digital content management. As a digital specialist, I have helped companies improve their online presence through content writing, search engine optimization (SEO), and social media content. I was the creative director for a Travel and Tourism organization, where I had my pulse on the travel industry and the factors that drive tourism. (Which kind of comes in handy when you own short term rentals…😉)
After a layoff at my last position, I decided it was time to heed my own advice to “take control” and founded 5STR Digital. Quite a few fellow STR owners had inquired about web design, but I had always been too busy with a full time job to take on those projects. Now, I want to help fellow entrepreneurs take control of their digital presence and exercise control over their property marketing and bookings.
